Chinese Radicals("we", "us") is a service operated by Planetaware OÜ. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account data — email and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Learning progress — radicals studied, quiz results, and spaced-repetition data, stored in our database and tied to your account.
• Analytics — anonymized usage events (pages viewed, features used, device type) processed by PostHog (EU-hosted). This helps us improve the app. You can decline analytics cookies via the consent banner.
• Payment data — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; Stripe processes payments under their own privacy policy.

Why we process data

• To provide the service (accounts, progress sync) — contract.
• To process payments — contract with you.
• To improve the product — legitimate interest, with opt-out.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data, and object to processing. Contact us at contact@chineseradicals.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Retention

Account data and progress are kept while your account is active. Analytics events are retained per PostHog's retention policy. You can delete your data at any time by contacting us.
